The Sac City Police Department is reporting that two men have been taken into custody after an armed burglary in mid-January. On Monday, Jan. 15, officers were dispatched to 320 South 13th street on a report that suspects wanted in regard to that burglary were at the residence. Upon arrival, they found 21-year-old Jarrett Morgan of Lytton armed inside the home, where he was taken into custody. Twenty-eight-year-old Jammonttay Coleman of Fort Dodge fled and was apprehended about three blocks away. A search of the residence on 13th Street uncovered stolen items and two firearms. Morgan and Coleman have both been charged with burglary in the first degree, a class B felony and willful injury, a class C felony. Coleman has also been charged with obstruction of emergency communications, a simple misdemeanor. The Sac City Police Department was assisted by the Sac County Sheriff’s Office.
