Two Injured In Rollover Accident Saturday Near Lidderdale

Two people were injured in a single-vehicle rollover accident Saturday afternoon northwest of Lidderdale. The Carroll County Sheriff’s Office reported to the scene in the 23,000 block of 150th Street at approximately 3:13 p.m. The initial investigation revealed that a 2012 Chevrolet Equinox was being driven eastbound when the driver, 53-year-old Colin Cordell Frantz of Churdan, says he started to choke on food, causing him to lose control. The vehicle entered the north ditch and struck an embankment, going airborne. It landed in a pasture, overturning and coming to rest on its wheels. Frantz and a passenger, 54-year-old Melanie Miller of Churdan, were both transported to St. Anthony Regional Hospital by Carroll County Emergency Medical Services for treatment of injuries. There was an estimated $20,000 in damage to the Equinox and another $500 in damage to the pasture owned by Mark Vonahn of Carroll.
