A 13-year-old Storm Lake male is in custody after eluding police in a vehicle and on foot. The Storm Lake Police Department reports that an officer attempted to stop a vehicle at about 9 p.m. Wednesday night, but the driver failed to pull over. Instead, the vehicle pulled into a driveway, at which time the driver and a passenger exited the car and fled on foot. The driver was eventually located and identified as a 13-year-old juvenile. He was arrested and charged with no valid driver’s license, reckless driving, failure to yield to an emergency vehicle, interference with official acts and possession of drug paraphernalia, all simple misdemeanors. The case was remanded to the juvenile courts and the suspect was released to an adult family member.
