When it comes to the hardest working people in the country, you will find Midwesterners represented as a pretty large chunk of the top 15 states. Personal finance website, WalletHub, released their findings in a recent study with Iowa landing at 14th.  North Dakota, South Dakota and Nebraska were all ranked in the top five, at second, fourth and fifth respectively, with Kansas at number 10. When it comes to working multiple jobs, Iowa was second in the nation and was ranked seventh for the employment rate. On the other side of the spectrum, Iowans fell in the middle of the pack, at 24th, for hours spent in leisure activities per day. The study compared all 50 states on several different metrics, including the average hours worked per week and annual volunteer hours per resident.
