Ten Mile Police Chase Ends With Arrest Of Audubon Man

An Audubon man was arrested last (Tuesday) night after fleeing from law enforcement for nearly 10 miles. At approximately 9:49 p.m., a deputy with the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office attempted to perform a traffic stop on a vehicle driven by 24-year-old Joseph Reisberg. He refused to yield and sped off southbound on Highway 173 near Elk Horn. Authorities pursued the vehicle until it became stuck in a field near the intersection of 100th Street and Timber Road northeast of Walnut. Reisberg fled on foot and the Cass County Sheriff’s Office K9 unit was called in to assist. He was arrested and transported to the Shelby County jail where he was charged with eluding, driving while barred, interference with official acts, reckless driving, failure to maintain control and multiple traffic citations. He remains in custody on a $10,000 bond. The Iowa State Patrol assisted in the pursuit.
