One person was transported to St. Anthony Regional Hospital after a single-vehicle accident on Saturday west of Halbur. Authorities responded at approximately 10:37 a.m. to 240th Street to find a 2008 Ford F150 in the south ditch. Sixteen-year-old Hadlie Rae Sickels of Mount Ayr had been driving westbound on 240th, when she lost control on the snow covered roadway, entered the ditch and rolled the pickup onto its top. Sickels was transported for treatment by Carroll County Emergency Medical Services. There was an estimated $3,500 in damage to the Ford. The Carroll County Sheriff’s Office assisted at the scene.
