A Storm Lake restauranteur was arrested Saturday and has been charged with assault. The Storm Lake Police Department received a report at approximately 4:45 p.m. Saturday that the night before, an adult female who had been working at the Boathouse restaurant on Lake Avenue was inappropriately touched by the owner, 63-year-old Gary Gaffney. Police conducted an investigation into the allegation and later that day took Gaffney into custody and charged him with assault, a simple misdemeanor.
