The Iowa State Patrol is reporting a Stanhope man has been killed in a motorcycle accident early Sunday morning west of Stratford on Highway 175. A trooper responded to the scene at approximately 12:16 a.m. to find that 52-year-old Monte Dilliner had been driving a 2002 Kawasaki eastbound when he dropped off onto the right-hand shoulder. Dilliner lost control and rolled the motorcycle. He was thrown from the vehicle, coming to rest on the north shoulder and ditch of the highway. Dilliner was pronounced dead at the scene.
