St. Anthony Regional Hospital has announced that effective Sunday, April 1, they will be lifting their limit on visitors in the hospital and nursing home, including the obstetrics department. With the widespread flu epidemic over the past several months, St. Anthony initiated visitor restrictions in January to help prevent the transmittal of influenza and to maintain a safe environment for patients. Even though the restrictions have been lifted, they are still encouraging those who are experiencing any cold symptoms to remain vigilant and delay any visits to the hospital or nursing home. Staff at St. Anthony remind everyone that no matter the season, those with weaker immune systems, including newborns, women who are pregnant, individuals with other health complications and the elderly, are more likely to contract colds and other illnesses.
