Stewart Memorial Community Hospital (SMCH) in Lake City recognizes all of those who donate their time and talents during National Volunteer Week, April 15 through April 21. The 421 current Auxiliary members who serve in the Gift Shoppe and assist with fundraisers will take action during this week to inspire and encourage others to be a part of social change through volunteerism. Since its inception in 1974, National Volunteer Week has helped communities across the country grow their giving pool. This year, SMCH is challenging everyone to re-imagine the notion of citizenship for the 21st Century, while also thanking their many volunteers for their dedication and service.
