The Carroll County Iowa State University (ISU) Extension and Outreach has partnered with the Carroll County Farm Bureau and United Bank of Iowa for a seminar title, “Women in Agronomy.” This six-week course will offer area women the chance to discuss in-depth topics such as corn and soybean growth and development, herbicides and spraying, insects and nutrient deficiencies, field conditions, other Iowa crops, crop diseases, harvest preparations and much more. All sessions will be held from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the Tarin Tiefenthaler farm at 13423 Kittyhawk Ave. The first will be held Wednesday, May 23, and then each subsequent Wednesday through August 15.
