For the second consecutive year, the Carroll Serra Club presented a check to Kuemper High School Campus Minister, Katherine Dea. Dedicated to fostering vocations to the religious life, the Carroll Serra Club has chosen to use funds from a bequest by the late Eva Wiedemeyer to support the first three years of Dea’s new position. Last year, her first at Kuemper, Dea was able to initiate several different opportunities for students to be in touch with their faith and to take on leadership roles in prayer services, bible studies, community building events and service projects. Dea, however, is most proud of the trips the young men and women have taken to various seminaries or convents to explore a vocation to religious life.
