SCCB Releases Fall And Winter Schedule For Popular Knee High Naturalists Program

The Sac County Conservation Board (SCCB) has released the fall and winter schedule for their popular Knee High Naturalist program. The free programs are designed for children between the ages of two to four years old with an attending adult, and pre-registration is required for all sessions. Programs will be held at 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. on the third Wednesday of the month from September through May. The first sessions take place on Wednesday, Sept. 19 at the Hagge Park Conservation Center near Sac City and will teach children how caterpillars transform into butterflies. Participants will be reading the book, “Becoming Butterflies,” and participating in Monarch butterfly migration crafts and activities. Each session is limited to 12 children, and registration can be completed by contacting the SCCB at 712-662-4530 or through the email address included below.
