The Sac County Cattlemen are hosting a pair of community events in the coming weeks. The organization is inviting county firefighters, EMTs, law enforcement officers and their families to join them for an appreciation supper at the Chautauqua Building in Sac City on Thursday, June 14. A meal will be provided by the group at no charge as their way of saying thank you for keeping Sac County safe. If you plan to attend, RSVP to Ken or Steph Erpelding by text at 712-790-3350. The following week is the Sac County Cattlemen’s Annual Steak Fry and Golf Tournament. Two-man best ball starts at 3 p.m. at the Spring Lake Golf and Country Club in Wall Lake. Dinner will be served from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., with the scholarship and trophy auctions starting at 7 p.m. Tickets are $30 apiece and can be purchased at the door. All money raised goes to support Sac County Cattlemen scholarships, community events and youth programs.
