Officials in Sac City are planning on bringing many changes updates to the community in 2018. City Administrator, Jamie Lawrence says they have laid out an aggressive schedule for their committees this year, starting with the Recreation and Trails Committee.
The city hopes to start construction on that new trail-head in July. Lawrence says new trails are not the only new recreational attraction that could be added to the city this year.
The Planning and Zoning Committee will have a busy year ahead of them as well. Lawrence says they will be taking a look at some documents that have not seen changes in over a decade.
Lawrence indicates residents could see a $3.5 million dollar update to the Sac City sewer system get underway yet this year. Carroll Broadcasting will bring you more information on that effort in an upcoming broadcast.
