Early last month, the Iowa Finance Authority Board of Directors approved a housing trust fund program that will bring more than $260,000 in support to local communities. COG Housing Inc., an affiliate of the Region XII Council of Governments, manages one of Iowa’s 25 certified Local Housing Trust Funds and will be able to support housing improvements in a six-county region with local matching funds. This money will then be used to assist low- to moderate-income families with down-payment assistance, affordable new housing construction and emergency assistance.
