Rare Display Of Eucharistic Miracles Open To Public Saturday And Sunday In Mt. Carmel

Katherine Dea, Campus Minister for the Kuemper Catholic School System, has been in this new role since last August, and says she is really enjoying getting to know the students and helping them integrate their faith from the classroom into their daily lives. Dea is instrumental in organizing and planning a variety of different events, including retreats, bible and book studies, classroom visits and one-on-one meetings with students. In recent weeks, she has been partnering with Myron and Shari Schulte of Auburn on a miraculous presentation.

She says some of these that turn to flesh have had a little bit of blood on them. When discovered, they were scientifically tested to verify they were real blood and living tissue. Dea said that it was eye opening to see the posters.

There is even one case, Dea says, where consecrated hosts were preserved for over 500 years, whereas unconsecrated ones would have long ago decomposed. Schulte will be sharing these posters with Kuemper middle school students and their families during Holy Week, on Tuesday, March 27 from 8:15 a.m. to 3 p.m. at St. Lawrence Collison Hall. At 8:15 a.m., she will open the display by talking with the students. The public will also get the opportunity to view the posters this Saturday and Sunday at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church in Mt. Carmel. A free-will donation is suggested for those interested in attending from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Saturday and from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday.
