Owner Of Adams Motor Company of Denison Arrested On Theft And Fraud Charges

The Crawford County Sheriff’s Office has confirmed that Bob Adams of Denison, owner of Adams Motor Company, was arrested at approximately 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 16. He has been charged with ongoing criminal conduct, 11 counts of theft in the first degree, three counts of theft in the second degree and one count of fraudulent practices. Adams was released after posting a $10,000 bond. The arrest was made by the Iowa Department of Transportation (DOT) Bureau of Investigation and Identity Protection as part of an ongoing investigation. Carroll Broadcasting has reached out to their deputy director for more details on the arrest. As of this airing, they have not yet responded to that request. Adams and his wife, Cheryl, own and operate dealerships in Denison, Ida Grove and Manning. Adams recently made news after being involved in a serious personal-injury accident on Nov. 23, 2016 on Highway 30 east of Vail.
