Organizers for the Veteran’s Appreciation Gala on Friday, Nov. 9 are expanding the size of the venue this year. Bob Fasbender says that they want to make sure they have the room at Santa Maria Winery to accommodate every area veteran wishing to attend.
Fasbender, who is a veteran of the Vietnam War, says that any veterans interested in coming or being recognized should contact him as soon as possible.
Nick Greteman says they will have a special guest that night.
Veterans are encouraged to wear their military dress, their legion uniform or any other item from their military background. Tickets are $25 each and can be picked up from any Rotarian, at Michael’s Shoes or at Computer Concepts. The cost includes the meal, entertainment from local groups and some special presentations. Fasbender says they will also be raffling off some items throughout the evening.
Doors will open at 5 p.m. and some of the proceeds will be used to support the Brushy Creek Honor Flights.
