No Injuries In Saturday Afternoon Accident In Churdan

The Greene County Sheriff’s Office assisted at the scene of a two vehicle accident on Saturday afternoon on the north side of Churdan. The accident occurred at approximately 4:29 p.m. when 16-year-old Elizabeth Roper of Churdan failed to yield at the intersection in the 500 block of Bell Street. Her 1998 Honda Accord struck a 2011 Chevrolet Silverado, driven by 26-year-old Nathaniel Byerly of Churdan. No injuries were reported, but there was an estimated $2,500 in damages to each vehicle. Roper was cited for failure to yield.
