Iowans will now be able to get help studying for their Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) exams, be able to brush up on their driving skills or prepare for certification of a new skill through an app released earlier this week. CDL Test Prep Mastery is available on mobile devices through the iOS and Android app stores and is free to anyone with an Iowa driver’s license or ID card. The Iowa Department of Transportation (DOT) developed the new tool in response to a shortage of drivers and after an analysis revealed that a high percentage of applicants failed the exam on their first try. CDL Test Prep Mastery offers users the chance to interact with the official manual developed by the American Association of Motor Vehicle Administration through quizzes, practice tests and access to resource guides.
