MRHC Physician To Share Experiences From Recent Mission Trip To Aftica

Dr. Isabella (Bella) Ahanogbe with Manning Regional Healthcare Center (MRHC), and her husband, Ryan Bender, left the country in February to spend 12 weeks in the Democratic Republic of the Congo and Nigeria as members of the Samaritan’s Purse World Medical Mission. The couple has now gotten back into their routine at home, and Dr. Bella will be sharing some of her stories of their amazing trip at the end of this month. She has put together a presentation about practicing family care, emergency medicine and obstetrics at the CME Nyankunde Hospital in the Congo and the Egbe Hospital in Nigera. Ryan, a skilled network cabling/IT professional, also participated in mission work during the trip, helping the hospitals link their computers and printers together to provide more compatibility between departments. The public is invited to attend the 6 p.m. presentation on Monday, July 30 at the Warren H. Timmerman Shelter House in Manning City Park. Dr. Bella came to the MRHC clinic in August of 2014. She is a graduate of Ross University and is a board certified physician, with special interests in women’s health, obstetrics and family medicine.
