The first annual Harry Potter Trivia Night was held on Feb. 24, and featured themed drinks and a lot of Potter items available through the silent auction. An autographed copy of one of the Harry Potter books was reported to have brought in around $600 alone. This wizardly good time was not just all fun and games, however, as the event was structured as a fundraiser, with all proceeds being donated to the Carroll Public Library expansion project. Organizer, Laura Comito, says the evening was a big success, raising $5,076. More than 150 people, from the Carroll area, from other parts of the state and even a few guests from outside the state, took part in the trivia competition, with three teams finally coming out on top, the Belgian Quaffles in first place, the Tri-Quizzard Champions in second and the Rememberalls in third.
