There will be several special events taking place in the upcoming weeks in Carroll, and area residents are reminded to mark their calendars to take part. The Kiwanis Club’s annual pancake breakfast is scheduled for Friday, Oct. 19 from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the Graham Park Shelter House. Tickets are $8 for adults and children 13 years old and up. The cost is $4 for those 12 and under. Select area retailers will be participating in a one-day, Moonlight Madness sale on Thursday, Oct. 25. The Carroll Young Professionals (CYP) and the Chamber of Commerce Retail Committee will also be sponsoring a Halloween costume contest during Moonlight Madness for children up to 12 years of age. And the Family Resource Center is busy working on their annual fundraiser, the 13th Annual Fall Affair. Culligan Water will be hosting this year’s event at their location on Clark Street, Thursday, Nov. 1 from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. Hors d’oeuvres and spirits are provided by Hy-Vee and All Strings Attached will entertain attendees.
