Manning Woman Formally Charged With Felony Child Endangerment For Keeping Vicious Dog Within City Limits

Trial information was filed Tuesday in District Court for Carroll County against a Manning woman for keeping a vicious dog that attacked a child. According to court records, 25-year-old Justine Danielle Jones, has been formally charged with one count of child endangerment, a class C felony, and possession of marijuana, a serious misdemeanor. The charges stem from an incident in the 50 block of April Street on Oct. 29, in which Jones’ dog, Lucifer, bit a child in the face. The child sustained injuries that required immediate medical attention. The City of Manning declared the dog vicious after the animal bit a dog and two children in the face on Sept. 15.
