Local McDonald’s Collecting Items For Hurricane Michael Relief

The O’Brien family McDonald’s stores are collecting items for those who have been impacted by hurricane Michael. Last week’s category four storm saw wind speeds of up to 155 miles per hour and was reportedly the fourth strongest storm to make landfall in the United States since records began in 1851. Families and individuals have been devastated by the loss of their homes and personal items, and McDonald’s reports it has seen hundreds of their employees, whose restaurants and homes were in Michael’s path, lose everything. They are encouraging everyone to drop off clothing, non-perishable food items, pet food, camping supplies, household and personal care products. Donations can be dropped off at any of the O’Brien family restaurants, including the Carroll location. These will be collected and transported to Florida on Friday, Oct. 26. A full listing of the participating restaurants can be found below.
