Local Company Communicating The Importance Of Supporting The Men And Women Of Law Enforcement

A young married couple who work for Johnston Communications are back in the Carroll area and looking for ways their company can help the community. Marketing manager, Chelsea Bell, is originally from Schleswig and her husband, Jason, who is the store manager, is from Texas. She says the two made their official debut in Carroll when Johnston Communications held their grand opening back in November. Jason says they heard so many great things about Carroll that the company owner, Theresa Johnston, made it a home-base of operations. They are working to become embedded in the community, and wanted to do something to give back. This coming Thursday, they will be participating in a Project Blue Light Event in support of local law enforcement. Chelsea says they met two officers at a recent home show, and were impressed that they were taking time out of their own busy personal lives to bring people across the state together in a show of solidarity with their peers.

Jason says this community show of support is more important than they can really explain.

Johnston Communications will have tents set up outside of Hy-Vee from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. with Project Blue Light to help raise money for the statewide initiative. They will be partnering with Dish Network to also bring proceeds back to local law enforcement. There will be 750 blue light bulbs distributed free of charge, and Jason says they will have some free surveillance camera specials going on as well. They want to make sure that everyone works in tandem with local authorities for the safety of all.

For those unable to make it to Hy-Vee during that timeframe on Thursday, March 22, they can stop by the Johnston Communications office at 213 East 6th Street, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. More information about this event and other ways that Johnston Communications is working to support community efforts can be found on their Facebook page.
