Whiterock Conservancy near Coon Rapids is hosting bikers from across the country next week for the 2018 Liberty Bell Cup. The event begins at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, July 6 at 6:30 p.m. with a mountain biking skills and race etiquette clinic. Later that same night, organizers are holding a timed lap for competitors on the “Big Dipper” single-track at 7:30 p.m. Registration for the Liberty Bell Cup opens Saturday, June 7 at 9 a.m. at Whiterock’s Star Field and is $35 per participant. Racers 18 years and younger register for free. The first wave of competitors take off at 10 a.m. with the second wave getting started at noon. Award winners will be announced at 3 p.m. Free food and beverages will be provided for fans during the event and there is no cost to attend.
