Spring has finally sprung and this weekend the weather is going to be perfect to get outside and explore some area foliage. The Sac County Conservation Board wants to help make that an educational experience with their Nature’s Kitchen program on Sunday May 6 at the Conservation Building in Hagge Park. Beginning at 1 p.m., they will start with an identification session, then everyone will go on a hike to collect edible plants. These will be brought back and, of course, prepared for the sampling portion of the event. The program is free of charge, but space is limited so pre-registration is required. This can be done through the contact points included here.
