Law Enforcement Issues Arrest Warrant For Illinois Man

Authorities have issued an arrest warrant for an Illinois man for failing to appear in court. Twenty-six-year-old Tremayne D. Cherry was to appear in District Court for Carroll County in February of 2016 on a charge of second-degree theft, a class D felony, and is accused of knowingly choosing to be absent from those proceedings. The court issued an in-state warrant for Cherry Tuesday for failure to appear, a class D felony. Cherry is currently in custody at the Big Muddy Correctional Facility in Ina, Ill., and he is projected to be released on parole April 18th. The State of Iowa does not intend to extradite Cherry.
