The Lake View City Council has accepted the design for a new building for the community’s public works and electric departments. City Administrator, Scott Peterson, says the future structure will replace two aging buildings and serve as a place for the city to house its equipment.
The city already owns the land where the buildings will be located on North Hanson Street, so the city will not need to purchase any additional property. Peterson says the council is keeping amenities to a minimum in order to lower costs as much as possible.
Current estimates place the project at between $200,000 and $250,000. Tentative schedules are for bid letting to take place later this fall with a completion date in spring of 2019.
