Kuemper Student Works With Rotary Club For Generous Donation To Mission Honduras Trip

As the 25 Kuemper High School students sell raffle tickets to raise money for the next Mission Honduras trip in April of 2019, one young lady took some extra initiative. Middle school theology instructor and elementary and middle school campus minister, Mike McCarty, says he has been so impressed by everyone’s enthusiasm and generosity, especially that of Cassidy Christensen, who made a special request of the Carroll Rotary Club.

The Rotary Club’s $500 donation could be used to fund the Mission Honduras trip through the purchase of supplies for the construction of the two homes the group will build in the Nueva Capital region. It may also go toward buying basic necessities to give to families and/or to help fund the ongoing tuition donations or the newly formed character education program. Raffle fundraising sales continue for the chance to win a part of the $1,000 in prizes, with winners to be drawn on Halloween. The $25 tickets are available for purchase from any of the students signed up to take the April mission trip or through the email addresses included here. Anyone wishing to make a monetary donation, or seeking more information on how they can help support the students, can reach Mike or Deb McCarty through those contact points as well.
