Kuemper Homecoming Activities Bring Past And Present Together

This is Homecoming week for the Kuemper Catholic School System, and they have planned activities that bring the past and present together in a fun and enriching week for students, families and visitors. President, John Steffes, says there are a lot of theme days, activities and games for the students, including the Parent’s Club third Father Kuemper Walk-a-thon fundraiser on Tuesday.

Steffes says the most well-known route, year round, for Father Kuemper was to Maple River, where he started the parish. He also spent some time walking as far away as Lidderdale. The annual celebration also carries the tradition of honoring two former classes in milestone years.

There will be a special guest from the class of 1978 for several of this year’s activities.

Many of those coming home this week will be seeing the new Carroll Stadium for the first time, and Steffes says they are working on ways to showcase some of the features during the game.

The Homecoming Mass will be Friday at 11 a.m. with coronation and the pep rally at 1p.m. and the parade beginning at 2:15 p.m. There will be a Booster Club grill out at Friday at 6 p.m. with kick-off against Greene County at 7 p.m. A full listing of activities can be found below.
