Kuemper Foundation Announces Two Milestones At Appreciation Social

Photo: Keynote speaker, Fr. Michael McCabe

As a part of their 2018 Homecoming Celebration, the Kuemper Catholic School Foundation held an appreciation social last Thursday night. The theme, “Because We Can’t Thank You Enough,” was showcased during the report by Foundation Chairman, Dave Bruner. The foundation reached two milestones within the past year, passing the $5,000,000 mark and seeing the Teacher Salary Enhancement Fund reaching $1,000,000. The featured speaker, Rev. Michael McCabe, was a member of the Kuemper Class of 1978 and returned for his 40th Class reunion. Fr. McCabe is currently Pastor of St. Joseph Church in Lincoln, Neb. Prior to this, he served 20 years at St. Mary’s Church in Nebraska City as school superintendent, where the school renamed their gymnasium the McCabe Activities Center or the MAC. McCabe is the son of long-time Carroll resident, Dr. Frank McCabe, who passed away in 2016.
