Jefferson Woman Selected To Represent Greene County In Mrs. Iowa Pageant

A Jefferson woman has been selected to represent Greene County in an upcoming Mrs. Iowa-America Pageant. MeLinda Madison-Millard will be traveling to the June 21, 2019 pageant in Bloomington, Minn. At the Bloomington Center for Arts. The winner of the 2019 competition will be entered into the nationally-televised Mrs. America Pageant. To be eligible, contestants must be at least 18 years old, married, reside in the state they are representing and be a citizen of the United States. Madison-Millard is also seeking sponsorships for financial support of the $695 entry fee. Those making donations will be listed under her in the pageant program book and she is offering to make special appearances at their place of business free of charge. As Mrs. Iowa, she intends to promote the Iowa Donor Network, the Puppy Jake Foundation and local law enforcement’s continued efforts to stop bullying and violence against women. Madison-Millard is married to Kenny Duane Millard and has been a lifelong resident of Greene County. She is the founder of A Token of Love Donor Awareness, which she began about five years ago, after her mother passed away and donated her organs to others.
