Jefferson Woman Arrested For Burglary And Two Assaults, One Against An Officer

A Jefferson woman has been arrested for assaulting another woman and an officer, burglary and other charges in an incident Saturday. The assault report came in at approximately 8:25 a.m. and authorities responded to the scene of the alleged incident in the 600 block of South Olive Street. A Greene County Sheriff’s Office Deputy also responded to the call. The accused female, 23-year-old Kelsy Diane Jean Reed, was still present at the residence. An altercation ensued and Reed was taken into custody and charged with first-degree harassment–aggravated assault causing bodily injury–and assault on a peace officer, both serious misdemeanors, Burglary in the first degree, a class B felony, and fifth-degree criminal mischief, interference with official acts and disorderly conduct, all simple misdemeanors.
