A Jefferson man was cited after refusing to stop for law enforcement. At approximately 8:33 p.m. on Wednesday, an officer with the Jefferson Police Department noticed a careless driver and attempted to pull them over at the intersection of South Elm and West Russell Streets. The driver, Zachary Burbank, did not yield to the emergency lights, and instead continued driving south out of town on Highway 4. Burbank finally did pull over at the intersection with 270th Street. He was issued citations for excessive speed and reckless driving.
