Two firearms reported stolen by a Jefferson resident on Monday have been located by the Jefferson Police Department. According to authorities, the handguns were recovered from a Jefferson residence on Tuesday. At approximately 5:07 p.m., the victim reported the firearms and a locked safe were removed from a home in the 500 block of South Wilson Avenue. Charges in the matter are pending the completion of an investigation into the burglary by the Jefferson Police Department.
