Ivanka Trump, daughter and advisor to the president, will be in Iowa next week to meet with students and tour the Waukee Innovation and Learning Center with Gov. Kim Reynolds. Trump’s visit on Monday begins at 9 a.m. in the Aspiring Professional Experience (APEX) facility to showcase Iowa’s innovative approach to skills training and preparing students for the workforce. Following their tour, Reynolds and Trump will participate in a round-table discussion with students to hear first-hand how they have benefited from Iowa’s efforts. Reynolds says, “We’re pleased to host Ivanka Trump to discuss our state’s leadership position in STEM and work-based learning.” She adds Iowa is ahead of the curve for educating our children and the APEX center is a model for schools of the future. Trump has worked with Reynolds on multiple workforce development initiatives and applauds her efforts to improve education nationwide.
