It is the season where caterpillars begin forming their chrysalis and emerge as butterflies, and Sac County Conservation is helping area youth learn more about these beautiful creatures. On Wednesday, Sept. 19, they will be hosting two Knee High Naturalists’ presentations titled “Becoming Butterflies.” Children ages two to four years old, with an attending adult, are invited to hear the story, “Becoming Butterflies” and participate in related crafts, activities and snacks at either the 10 a.m. or 5 p.m. session. The program is free of charge, but registration is required as there is room for only 12 children per session. Details on how to register can be found below.
