The Iowa State Patrol has released the names of individuals involved in a two-vehicle, multi-injury accident near Diamondhead Lake in Guthrie County. According to authorities, the accident occurred at approximately 4:28 p.m. on Oct. 21 near the intersection of 310th Street and Zephyr Trail. A 2004 Pontiac Grand Am, driven by 15-year-old Christopher Mark Keifer of Stuart, collided with a 2017 Mitsubishi Outlander, driven by 23-year-old Tanner Allen Jensen of Dexter. Jensen had just finished turning around in a field drive when Keifer rear-ended the Outlander. The Pontiac came to rest partially in the south ditch and Keifer’s vehicle was pushed into the north ditch. Thirty-three-year-old Laura Gwendolyn Campbell, a passenger in Jensen’s vehicle, and Keifer, along with two of his passengers, 16-year-old Lia Rose Greenlee and 14-year-old Karley Ann Eiltz, were transported by Guthrie County Emergency Medical Services to Methodist West Hospital in Des Moines with serious injuries. Jensen and two additional passengers from Keifer’s vehicle, 13-year-old Audrey Paige Keifer and 18-year-old Johnathan Paul Godron, were transported to Mercy Hospital in Des Moines with non-incapacitating injuries. Keifer was cited for violating the conditions of his restricted license and failure to reduce speed. Damage to both vehicles was estimated at $26,500.
