A congressional debate between Third District candidates, Republican incumbent, David Young, and his Democratic opponent, Cindy Axne, will be televised on Iowa Public Television. The Oct. 11, hour-long Iowa Press debate will begin at 7 p.m. in the Maytag Auditorium and air live while also being streamed online at Iptv.org, YouTube and on Facebook. Host of Iowa Press, David Yepsen, will host the event and will be joined by other political reporters in questioning the candidates. Both Young and Axne will be given the chance to discuss their platforms, concerns and plans for the future of Iowa and Iowans. The debate is open to the public, with doors opening at 6:15 p.m. on a first-come, first served basis. All spectators must be seated by 6:45 p.m. More information is available at Iptv.org.
