Iowa Lottery Discovers Misprints On $5 Scratch Game And Ends Sales As A Precaution

The Iowa Lottery is ending sales of a scratch game after discovering some of the tickets appeared to have been misprinted. Officials received two reports from players that showed the numbers on the $5 “Cash Wheel” game’s play area shifted during printing. “We take seriously our responsibility to provide our players with accurate information and quality products,” says Iowa Lottery CEO, Terry Rich. Only two of the more than 720,000 tickets already distributed have shown any indication of a misprint, but he says they are still ending sales out of “an abundance of caution.” Cash Wheel started on July 2 and features a roulette theme where players match numbers on a prize wheel to numbers in the play area. More than one million Cash Wheel tickets were ordered, and nearly three-fourths of them had been distributed. Players with questions about a ticket they purchased are encouraged to contact the Iowa Lottery at 515-725-7900 or through the email address included below.
