Iowa Gets Good Rankings For Water Quality Programs

The Iowa Department of Natural Resources (DNR) is releasing some good news about Iowa’s Drinking Water Program. On Friday, Corey McCoid, Supervisor of the DNR’s Water Supply Operation Section, said Iowa’s rates were recently compared to national averages and the results show we have one of the nation’s best drinking water programs. Non-compliance rates and duration that public water supply remains out of compliance are less than half the national average. The department’s Water Supply staff thank public water supply operators for implementing the requirements of the program and lending their expertise, support and efforts in providing safe drinking water.
