Members of the Haggai Masonic Lodge #369 are gearing up for the Annual Glidden Community Auction tomorrow (Thursday). For more than 15 years, the lodge has been hosting the auction to benefit Glidden and the surrounding areas. Bob Linde, one of the organizers, says they host the event every year to raise money to give back to the community.
Linde says many businesses and individuals graciously donated all types of items to make the auction possible. He thinks some items might be more popular than others.
Linde says people will find something they will want to bid on, no matter their budget or interests.
Doors open at 6 p.m. Friday at the Lincoln Club with a social hour featuring free hors d’oeuvres and a silent auction. The live auction with auctioneers, Steve Seidl, Chris Ludwig and Justin Brant, gets underway at 7 p.m.
