Guthrie Center Man Sentenced In Carroll District Court For Intent To Deliver Methamphetamine

A Guthrie Center man was sentenced in Iowa District Court for Carroll County on Tuesday for possession with intent to deliver methamphetamine. Carroll County Attorney, John Werden, reports that 52-year-old James Jay Riceman plead guilty on April 30 of this year to the charges that were the result of an arrest on January 14, 2017. Riceman was sentenced to an indeterminate term, not to exceed 10 years that will run concurrently with a Guthrie County sentencing from an arrest on Jan. 29, 2015, in which he was found in possession of methamphetamine, prescription drugs and drug paraphernalia. Riceman will receive credit for time served and the fines and surcharges associated with this case have been suspended.
