This past weekend, a Guthrie Center man was arrested for a variety of sexual abuse charges. The Guthrie County Sheriff’s Office reports that 25-year-old James Lee Rasmussen was taken into custody on Saturday on a third-degree sexual abuse charge and enticing a minor under 13 years of age, both class C felonies. In addition, he was charged with three counts of dissemination and exhibition of obscene material to minors, serious misdemeanors. Rasmussen has appeared before the magistrate and was ordered held in the Guthrie County jail on a $1,000 cash bond.
