Grassley Recieves Small Business Award

The National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) has presented Iowa Senator, Chuck Grassley, with the Guardian of Small Business award. This, the organizations most prestigious award, is reserved for lawmakers who vote consistently in support of small business. Making up nearly 50 percent of the nation’s workforce, Grassley says these small businesses are the backbone of America’s economy. “Last year, my Republican colleagues and I passed comprehensive tax reform. I am glad to hear from the small business community that those commonsense law changes continue to produce real, positive results in Iowa and nationwide, such as lower unemployment, wage increases and tax savings,” Grassley says. “It’s an honor to serve as Iowa’s senior senator and support pro-growth policies that enable Iowans to succeed.” The NFIB represents 325,000 small businesses in all 50 states and Washington, D.C.
