Gov. Kim Reynolds Appoints Two Judges To Serve In Judicial Districts 2B And 3A

Gov. Kim Reynolds has announced today (Friday) the appointment of two new district court judges. Bethany Currie, of Marshalltown, was selected to serve in Iowa Judicial District 2B, which includes Boone, Calhoun, Carroll, Greene, Hamilton, Hardin, Humboldt, Marshall, Pocahontas, Sac, Story, Webster and Wright Counties. Currie received her law degree from Drake University with undergraduate study at Augustana College. She currently serves as a magistrate in Marshall County. Reynolds also appointed Charles Borth, of Spencer, to serve in District 3A. This district covers Lyon, Osceola, Dickinson, Emmet, Kossuth, Palo Alto, Clay, O’Brien, Cherokee and Buena Vista Counties. Borth also received his law degree from Drake University and completed his undergraduate studies at Mankato State University. He currently serves as an associate judge in District 3.
