Glidden Schedules Focus Group Workshop For 2018 Iowa’s Living Roadways Community Visioning Program

The Glidden Community Visioning Program Committee has announced the date for residents to give their input on perceived transportation needs and opportunities in town. The Iowa’s Living Roadways Community Visioning Program is a transportation enhancement planning process that serves communities with 10,000 residents or less. The committee learned how to fully utilize the program at an earlier meeting, and the next step is a focus group workshop on March 17 at the Glidden-Ralston High School Smith Center. Participants will be separated into four different groups based on which one that best describes them. Older adults will meet at 9 a.m., parents and children at 10 a.m., active recreationists at 11 a.m. and mobility impaired individuals at 11 a.m. to share ideas on how Glidden can improve its transportation corridors. The results will be analyzed, and a full presentation on the data will be given at 3 p.m. The public is encouraged to attend and refreshments will be provided. For more information or to RSVP, contact Suzy Danner at 712-659-3010.
